Google Updates Backlinks

For the first time since June 23rd, webmasters checking their backlinks in Google we rewarded with an updated list.

Google has never shown all the backlinks for any site - and recently the results seem random.

Official Gmail Notifier For Your Desktop

I knew it was coming - I expected it to be integrated into the Google toolbar - but Google has beta released an official Gmail Notifier - (for Windows 2000 and XP only).

The Gmail Notifier is a downloadable Windows application that alerts you when you have new Gmail messages. It displays an icon in your system tray to let you know if you have unread Gmail messages, and shows you their subjects, senders and snippets, all without your having to open a web browser.

Google IPO - It's Official

The SEC accepted Google's request to go Public. Google will be trading under the trading symbol GOOG.

Best of luck to them - they deserve it.
